Connecticut 

The Electric Boat Company in Groton Connecticut built 74 submarines throughout the war. 

17 aircraft carriers were built, along with 297,000 aircraft, 193,000 artillery pieces, 86,000 tanks and almost 2 million Army trucks. 

Factories in Waterbury Connecticut were used to produce clips, and brass products. 

The Marine Safety Center base is in Groton CT along with the naval submarine base There is a Coast Guard academy in New London CT
